Designated as a national recreation trail, the Yellow rock trail climbs from the valley floor to one of the best views in the park. on the trail, hikers will first pass through several rock formations that showcase the unique geology of the ozarks. on other sec- tions of the trail, cedar glades, streams and old structures tell a story of early settler and Civilian Conservation Corp. life in the area. the highlight of the trail is its namesake, the Yellow rock, which sits 300 feet above lee Creek Valley and offers unobstructed, pan- oramic views. This is a commuter hike only. All participants will drive themselves.
