Dr. Calabrese graduated from Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine in June and is licensed in both California and Arizo- na. "I am thrilled to have an associate in the practice," said Dr. Montgom- ery, adding, "The volume of clients just keeps growing and the need for a second veterinarian has been evident for several years." The daughter of Jack Calabrese and the late Jody Calabrese, Dr. Cala- brese graduated from Palo Verde High School in 2013 and received her bach- elor of science in animal science from California State Polytechnic Univer- sity, Pomona, in 2017. During her high school years she was a member of FFA where she served as Treasurer her ju- nior year and the chapter's president as a senior. She was also a Fair Ambas- sador with the Colorado River Fair. She is no stranger to Circle H, having worked there as a veterinary assistant for several years. During her medical training at Midwestern, two of her ex- ternships were at Circle H. "Working with Dr. Steve was one of the reasons I chose to pursue mixed practice stud- ies instead of specializing," noted Dr. Calabrese. She also externed with Dr. Michael Ramos, another Blythe grad- uate, at El Camino Veterinary Hospi- tal and at various clinics and animal hospitals in Phoenix and Havasu. At Midwestern, she was a member of the Student Association of Veteri- nary Surgery where she served as co- president. She was also a Bovine Club member and involved in Shelter Club through which she participated in large Trap Neuter Release (TNR) events and helped provide vaccines and steriliza- tion procedures to the Salt River Pima- Maricopa Tribal Community animals. On coming home, Dr. Calabrese said, "I am looking forward to returning to my family and friends in Blythe and joining the Circle H team!"
