The Friends of the Quartzsite Food Bank is honored to announce that Alex
Taft will be on our board of directors. Alex was employed by the Town of
Quartzsite and La Paz County for 18 years focusing on community out-
reach and service, resources and development. Alex is currently with the
Colorado River Regional Crisis Services. Alex has extensive experience in
facets of federal, state and local grants. Alex believes that no small commu-
nity has the resources to provide for
its residents without help. This help
involves seeking partnerships with
outher agencies, and seeking funding
through grant making aopportunites.
These goals are a very creative process
that are exciting and challenging.
Carole and Anker Rasmussen are
volunteers at the Food Bank. We
helped them celebrate their 71st
Wedding Anniversary. They are
such a wonderful couple, and we
are so lucky to have them volun-
teer with us.
Friends of Quartzsite Food Bank updates
TFAP and CSFP food is now be-
ing distributed by the Yuma Com-
munity Food Bank at the Western
College. Quartzsite Food Bank food
will still be distributed at 40 N.
Moon Mountain Tuesdays & Thurs-
days 7am-11am.
