Phi Delta Theta Club of Columbia, Missouri 2000 E. Broadway #168 Columbia, MO 65201 Address Service Requested MO ALPHA PHI The T hings are finally getting back to normal at Mizzou, and the chapter is charging ahead into summer. The undergraduate brothers held their last spring chapter meeting on May 2. Alumni and members who attended were able to hear graduating seniors share their plans for after Mizzou. What an impressive group of young men! Without a doubt the experience at Missouri Alpha helped sharpen their character and their commitment to the values of Phi Delta Theta and our brotherhood. They are ready for the challenges ahead. Congratulations, seniors! We are proud of you! We are all still talking about the 150th anniversary weekend last fall, and we are thankful for such a memorable event and outstanding alumni turnout. More and more alumni are getting involved with the house, and we are grateful for their leadership toward the undergraduates. We'd also like to thank John and Heidi Miles, who put together a beautiful, framed display of the war memorial dedication at the 150th celebration. The display is a great addition to the chapter foyer and features the challenge coins presented to Col. John Clark after his release from a POW camp in North Vietnam as well as photos of the event on Sunday. Thank you, John and Heidi! Our facilities are still top notch on campus, and the house is in overall great shape. We did, however, have some weather damage to the roof this spring. Fortunately, this was covered by insurance, and we will be getting a new roof over the summer. Coming up in the fall we have a couple of notable events. On September 14, the undergraduate chapter is hosting a dinner for President Mun Choi at the chapter house. Phi Delts will have an opportunity to meet and talk with President Choi before dinner and share the good things happening at Missouri Alpha. Members of the chapter advisory board and house corporation will join our young men in welcoming President Choi. On October 1, we plan to celebrate our annual alumni weekend. Mizzou hosts Georgia that Saturday and game time is still TBD. An email blast/postcard will be coming once the schedule is set; for now, please save the dates! Alumni events are getting bigger each year, and we hope everyone can make it in the fall. Book hotel rooms early. Go Tigers! Thank you to all of you for your brotherhood and all the things you do for Phi Delta Theta and Missouri Alpha. We hope to see you this fall. Proud to be a Phi! YITB, MO Alpha CAB and House Corporation T he Crawdaddy Classic golf tournament began in 2016 to raise money for Kevin Crawford '92, who was diagnosed with multiple myeloma blood cancer. These alumni have since made it an annual event to pay it forward to someone else in their battle with cancer. The tournament has sold out every year and raised over $100,000 for friends in need. Over 30% of participants are Missouri Alphas, with brothers flying in from all over the country. This year's beneficiary was John "Jack" Pumphrey '87, who was also diagnosed with multiple myeloma last year. Many of Jack's pledge brothers were first-time participants this year to lend their support. Thank you, brothers, for your commitment to the fight against cancer! 150 Years and Beyond A Look at Our Anniversary and Future Events Crawdaddy Classic 2022 Brothers support Brothers Aidan Brum Shay Butler Austin Creekmore Charlie Davison Nikhil Deshmukh Jacob Diehl Kaleb Garcia Garrett Hadeler Justin Harrison Karan Kommu Mason O'Hearne James Ranes Jorge Rodriguez Carter Sagle Jay Vandervoort Welcome, New Members "I joined Phi Delt because of their involvement on campus and within the community.
