In this production, the heroic pups from the top-rated animated preschool series "PAW Patrol" embark on a pirate-themed adventure to uncover hidden treasure. In PAW Patrol Live! "The Great Pirate Adventure," Mayor Goodway is getting everything shipshape for a big Pirate Day celebration in Adventure Bay. When Cap'n Turbot falls into a dark and mysterious cavern, it's PAW Patrol to the rescue! Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Skye, Rocky and Zuma save Cap'n Turbot and discover a secret pirate treasure map that leads them on an epic adventu- re. Things get rough when Mayor Humdinger wants to find the treasure first for Foggy Bottom. The pups set sail to save the day using their heroic rescue skills, problem-solving and teamwork. No job is too big; no pirate pup is too small. This interactive live stage show encourages audiences to learn pirate catchphrases, dance the pirate boogie and help the pups follow the treasure map and solve picture puzzles throughout their mission. SATURDAY, JULY 9 PET OUTREACH PROGRAM 4936 BRAGG BLVD. 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tarheel K9 to 5 LLC is calling on the com- munity to help support the community and their animals. They will be collecting dog food, cat food and limited pet supplies for impoverished, low income and nomadic communities. Cat and dog food, cat litter, beds, blankets, bowls, treats, puppy food, small dog food and partial bags of food will also be accepted. RUST, RUFF AND RETRO CAPE FEAR STUDIOS 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Cape Fear Studios presents a solo art exhibit Rust, Ruff, & Retro featuring well- known local artist, Greg Hathaway. DIRTBAG ALES FARMERS MARKET DIRTBAG ALES BREWERY 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The Dirtbag Ales Farmers Market is a gathering place where local farmers and producers can connect with their commu- nity and share their passions. Join Dirtbag Ales for live music, local vendors, food trucks, yoga and craft brews. They welcome everyone of all ages and back- grounds and encourage them to connect with the community that they call home. SUNDAY, JULY 10 WEDNESDAY, JULY 6 SPECIAL OLYMPICS FUNDRAISER 2433 HOPE MILLS RD. 6 a.m. – 3 p.m. Superior Bakery is hosting a fundraiser to support the Special Olympics Cumberland County — an organization that helps train more than 250 athletes year-round in 14 different sports and compete in local, regional and state-level events. Donuts, pies, rolls and all types of baked goods will be on sale. Ten percent of the profit will go directly to the Special Olympics Cumberland County. 6 p.m. TUESDAY, JULY 12 FRIDAY, JULY 8 CATFISHING BASICS PECHMANN FISHING CENTER 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Whether you're looking for a trophy or a meal, catfish take the cake in freshwater. These fish grow to be giants, are plentiful and are found throughout the state. Learn different fishing techniques, recipes, and information about catfuish. Instructional topics include, Catfish species pro- files, fishing lakes and rivers, bait types, tackle and rigs, trophy vs. subsistence fishing and recipes. This event is free. CITY MARKET FAYETTEVILLE HISTORY MUSEUM 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. City Market at the Museum is a year-round, open-air market featuring local produce and artisans. Typical offerings include blended teas, handmade pottery, soaps, soy candles, glass beaded jewelry, handblown glass, tie dyes, crystals, watercolors, custom designs, cookies, muf- fins, specialty coffee, music and much more. The market is held on the ground of the Fayetteville History Museum located at 325 Franklin St. The Fayetteville Area Transportation and Local History Museum is the hub for history in Down- town Fayetteville. From the history enthusiast to families looking for fun, there is something for everyone here. SATURDAY, JULY 9 THURSDAY, JULY 7 FAYETTEVILLE WOODPECKERS GAME SEGRA STADIUM 7:05 p.m Los Guerreros de Fayetteville will take the field for the Woodpecker's second COPA game of the season. The players will rock their Guerreros jerseys as they take on the Avocados Luchadores de Down East! This game will also feature discounted craft and domestic brews all night and $2 Pepsi products. TAI CHI CAPE FEAR BOTANICAL GARDEN 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Practice this flowing eastern exercise with instructor Rich Martin while overlooking the garden.
