Spring 2022 Preserving the Greek experience for future generations of student leaders the Fraternity and Sorority P O L I T I C A L A C T I O N C O M M I T T E E S pring has sprung … and we Greeks returned to Capitol Hill in late April! After missing two years of in-person April board meetings, we were energized to gather in our nation's capital. With the changing of the season comes longer days and higher hopes for what's ahead, even in the midst of a worldwide pandemic where challenges abound for both college students and our organizations. FSPAC remains committed to supporting and defending the sorority and fraternity experience. That is exactly what we do by raising money to fund candidates, regardless of political party, who share our belief in the value of the Greek experience. Our federal legislative priorities include: • Preserving students' freedom of association rights • Eradicating hazing on college campuses • Improving on-campus housing safety and affordability Your donations make it possible to support a bipartisan slate of U.S. House and Senate members as well as candidates who embrace these priorities. FSPAC has existed for 17 years and just hit the $5 million raised mark earlier this year! For that, we thank YOU: our donors, current and past board members, and organizations that support our advocacy efforts. Because of you, we are the largest PAC focused on higher education issues. Working together, we amplify the voices of over 625,000 undergraduate members at 7,300 chapters on 700 campuses as well as close to 10 million alumni. During FSPAC's spring board meeting, we kicked off a strategic direction-setting exercise to guide us through the next two campaign cycles (or four years). Our focus is on growth—more specifically growth in: • Number of donors like you • Dollars we raise • Funds we donate to candidates, leading ultimately to… • Growth in the number of champions in Congress who will enact laws to help students enjoy a positive, safe, and more affordable campus experience as sorority women and fraternity men I am honored this year to lead FSPAC's large board of outstanding, committed volunteers in our mission to support and defend the sorority and fraternity experience.
