On June 15, hear their story and enjoy a Horse Soldier® Bourbon tasting and specialty cocktails. Admission to this special event includes a presentation by ODA-595 team members Mark Nutsch and Bob Pennington, along with author Jim DeFelice. A signed copy of "Swords of Lightning," the story of ODA-595, told from their point of view for the first time, with never-before-revealed details of the campaign and how close they came to failure and death. Dun, dun, dun! Activities include three murder mysteries, food trucks and drinks for purchase. Dogs can join you as you crack the cold case in the garden only on Friday, June 17. No retractab- le leashes are permitted; remember to clean up after your dog. Dress in your 1940's best for a chance to win "best dressed." Instructor Molly Hamelin will te- ach attendees how to swing dance, one of the most popular dances in the 1940s. Attendees should arrive as close to 5:30 p.m. as possible. This mystery will be difficult to solve. MOSAIC SCENE WORKSHOP CAPE FEAR BOTANICAL GARDEN 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Are you constantly running across broken pottery or glass along the road? Bring in your broken treasures to create your very own scene. Help us beautify our city! Cape Fear Botanical Garden encourages you to bring as many glass and pottery pieces as possible. Patty Speights will lead the workshop in creating beautiful broken treasure mosaic art. The instructor is equipped to teach attendees everything they need to know to create a mosaic masterpiece.
