ΔΔΔ Delta Xi Chapter at the University of Missouri Spring 2022 S pring is one of my favorite times of the year, and it is in full swing at 901 Richmond! While the chapter is abuzz with new officers, fundraising, Greek Week, Pansy Breakfast, and preparing for seniors to graduate, your Delta Xi House Corporation Board is also very busy! It is the responsibility of the house corporation to serve the collegiate chapter. It is our mission to add value to the collegiate experience by ensuring safe, comfortable, and competitive living, learning, and leading environments for Tri Delta members. House corporation has a responsibility to the chapter that it serves and Tri Delta as a whole. As a board, we take this mission very seriously and have continued over the past year to make great strides in ensuring our Chapter House is operating at top performance. An extensive HVAC air neutralization unit was installed in 2021 to optimize neutral air flow throughout the house. In addition to normal maintenance this past year, two HVAC units were replaced and relocated, two hot water heaters have been replaced, patio drainage issues were corrected, new security motion sensor light fixtures were installed in dormitory hallways, and the first-floor television/study lounge received a complete makeover! As you can imagine, with a nearly 100-year- old home, our work is far from over! Board members have been working diligently, planning and preparing for two capital improvement projects to be completed over the summer. The first is a much-needed roof, gutter, and exterior trim renovation project, which is set to begin in May. We will be replacing aged and deteriorating materials in roofs, gutters, downspouts, and wood trim with new, respectfully matched trim and details. The second approved project is renovating the dining room/centennial hall and serving area. This is a wonderful space used multiple times daily for dining, all large group gatherings, and during recruitment. New paint, wall coverings, fabrics, and cabinetry will reflect the recently updated design. Aged refrigerators, microwaves, and the main hot/ cold food serving buffet will be replaced. These improvements will address immediate structural maintenance needs as well as increase our long-term competitiveness on campus. Enjoy your spring, and please know you are always welcome at 901 Richmond! W e truly appreciate the generosity and support of our alumnae. Our campaign, A Fresh Look for 901, has officially ended. It is with heartfelt gratitude that we say thank you! It has been a long journey, and we definitely faced challenges that no one could have ever imagined over these past few years. We began early planning on the project in 2019, and with great perseverance and dedication, completed the beautiful renovation in summer 2020. We are thrilled with the amazing transformation Jesse White Bodine '97 and her design company, Scout and Nimble, have made at our beloved Chapter House! If you have not yet had the opportunity to stop by and see the beautiful interior at 901 Richmond, we invite you to do so. Please know this project and all we do to support our Tri Delta chapter is because of the hard work and generosity of our Delta Xi alumnae. Thank you for making a difference for the collegiate women of today and for many more Deltas to come!
