He is trying to adjust to life without his Jayhawk cheerleader wife, Shirley, after 63 years of beautiful marriage. Shirley passed away on January 29 th , and she is greatly missed. Ward '68 resides in Littleton, Colo., where he is a full-time caregiver for his wife, who has Parkinson's and dementia.
