Plan ahead for parades The Town of Quartzsite issued a PUBLIC NOTICE on April 14, 2022 regarding the Kofa Well #4 This notice is to inform the citizens that well #4 has been built and is now in the pump development phase. The water is being pumped from the well and discharged into the wash west of Kofa Avenue, just north of the water yard. The water is expected to cross Kofa Avenue, Emelia Avenue, Moon Mountain Avenue, and eventually Quail Trail Street. This testing will see large amounts of water, 1000-1500 gallons per minute. This phase is es- timated to start on Monday, April 18th and go through Tuesday, possibly Wednesday. On Monday April 25th, a constant rate test will be performed and will last 48 hours, with fl ows estimated at 1000 gallons per minute. During the duration of the fl owing water, the Public Works Department will be monitoring the water levels at the wash crossings. If it becomes unsafe due to water levels or roadway conditions, a detour may be put in place. Please be safe and alert while driving the roadways mentioned above. There will be a Voter Registration Drive on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Quartzsite Town Hall from 9am – 1pm. Town Hall is located at 465 N. Plym- outh Ave., Quartzsite, AZ. The Quartzsite Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Board of Di- rectors announced next season's dates for their annual parades. Save the date for the annual Christ- mas Light Parade for Saturday, December 3rd, 2022. The annual Hi Jolly Daze Parade will be held Saturday January 14, 2023.
