ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. 12 RECOMMENDED CAMPAIGN TIMELINE A campaign master calendar should be established outlining target dates for the beginning and ending of campaign tasks and activities. We recommend the following general topics and time frames with the addition of increasingly specific tasks as the campaign develops: April 11, 2022 Presentation of pre-campaign feasibility study report May 1, 2022 Proceed with a campaign May – August 2022 Internal preparation, which will include: • Evaluate the feasibility study results and accompanying data • Revise and refine case for support • Evaluate campaign funding objectives • Complete comprehensive campaign plans and timetable • Review and prioritize major donor prospects • Identify, recruit, and solicit campaign executive committee • Begin soliciting Educational Foundation Board, Board of Regents, and staff (insider phase) • Plan public relations campaign regarding issues facing the Fraternity to heighten awareness • Begin cultivation, communication, and education process for major gift prospects • Develop campaign materials • Determine naming opportunities • Develop standardized campaign gift acceptance policies and procedures • Review and enhance communication plan and strategy September 2022 – July 2024 Major gifts phase (quiet phase), which will include: • Solicit the remaining Foundation, Fraternity, campaign executive committee, and staff (insider phase) • Organize and conduct major gift training for board and staff • Refine cultivation and solicitation strategies for the major donor prospects • Produce all campaign and public relations materials • Continuously research, review, and evaluate major donor prospects • Make additions or subtractions to the major donor prospect list as the situation warrants • Secure at least 70% of the final fundraising goal • Set the final goal for the campaign • Recruit chapter ambassadors to provide name recognition throughout the campaign
