Delta Chi Fraternity at Kansas State University Delta Chi Fraternity at Kansas State University SPRING 2022 SPRING 2022 W ith everything heading back toward normal in Manhattan, Delta Chi at K-State is transitioning into a rejuvenating and exciting time. We are having a successful year of recruitment, are settling into our new property at 801 Moro Street, and are getting back to planning brotherhood events that build our bond even stronger. Spring Class Recruitment Fraternities across campus took a big dip in numbers the last two years. With high school students not touring campus as well as orientation and enrollment being virtual, we discovered that there were very few opportunities to meet potential members. Fortunately, our chapter has two dedicated recruitment chairmen; we recruited 9 new members this spring, our second-largest spring class in the last 10 years. Utilizing 801 Moro Street I am privileged to be among the first Delta Chi undergraduates to live at 801 Moro Street. Finally having a place that is filled by Delta Chis and owned by our House Corp. is a special experience for us all. We take great pride in the property by making sure that it is maintained, clean, and ready to showcase to potential members and visiting alumni. We held numerous brotherhood game nights, recruitment barbecues, and watch parties this year. We love calling Moro home! Education Foundation Scholarships This March, we recognized five outstanding Delta Chis with scholarships from our Education Foundation. These scholarships are based on academic performance and chapter votes. The Education Foundation recognizes individuals with most improved GPA, Brother of the Semester, and more. Because of our generous and committed alumni, we have the means to offer these scholarships to brothers. Thank you, alumni, for your unwavering support. See You This Fall We are thrilled to invite you all back to Manhattan for our 60th anniversary and housing dedication the weekend of October 7-9. This is the perfect opportunity to see our new property at 801 Moro and celebrate 60 years of Delta Chi—together. You won't want to miss it! Please read more about this exciting weekend on page 4. We are so thankful to call you our brothers. The future remains bright for K-State Delta Chi! Please reach out to me if there is anything that we can do or if you have plans to be in Manhattan.
