P B F 1890 SPRING 2022 MINNESOTA ALPHA Our Home. Continuing the Legacy at 1109. Exciting Plans Ahead Transforming Our Home at Minnesota Alpha E ach of us had the privilege of living in or otherwise thinking of the chapter house as our home, sharing memorable moments with our sisters and embracing our time together. As new generations pass through the house, it is more important than ever to provide a modern home for our sisters for years to come. With our renovation plans progressing, we are thrilled to be able to give our sisters the house they need to succeed. Our alumnae are vital in helping this idea come to life, and we look forward to keeping you updated on the progress. This summer, we have plans for a full renovation of the basement level along with minor updates to the first-floor bathroom, mail room and storage. As one of our goals for the house renovation is to create more space for our sisters to thrive, further plans consist of making a cohesive kitchen, living and dining room space for members to enjoy and for the chapter to meet in as needed. To create a more comfortable environment, there will also be many areas for our sisters to study and socialize. It is important that the renovated house provides a sense of home to our sisters, and our goal for the atmosphere is to be be scholarly and comfortable. To achieve this, we chose durable but unique furniture and fabrics as well as artwork and color schemes based on original mood boards and concept rendering studies conducted by the architect and interior designer. With so many wonderful plans and excitement amongst Minnesota Alpha sisters, we still need the funds to complete the project. This phase is designed to be executed within a $1.5 million budget, and all donations to Our Home. Continuing the Legacy at 1109. will go directly toward assisting the funding of this project. Our alumnae have consistently supported the chapter over the years, and any donation toward the house renovation today will put less of the financial responsibility for the renovation on our collegiate members through their annual expenses. Our campaign will end May 31, 2022, and we need the support of every Minnesota Alpha sister to reach our goal by then. We appreciate your support as we look toward the future of Minnesota Alpha. I think it'll not only create a space for live-ins to bond and gather, but it will also bring live-outs to the house more for meals and studying, creating more opportunities and time to connect together and make memories." – Josie Peterson '20 PI BETA PHI | DESIGN DEVELOPMENT | FURNITURE FEBRUARY 07, 2022 8145.01 Study Lounge | Concept Rendering PI BETA PHI | DESIGN DEVELOPMENT | FURNITURE FEBRUARY 07, 2022 page 4 8145.01 Mood Board | Scholarly, Heritage & Comfort Rendering of the renovated study lounge.
