SEABROOK AUDITORIUM This event, hosted by the Arts Council of Fayetteville and the Fayetteville State University Fine Arts Series, will focus on educating attendees on the culture of mental health, emotional intelligence and quality of life for youth and men of color. Organizers will be providing these young people resources and tools on how to adapt to different environments and strengthen their performances. THURSDAY, MARCH 24 SYMPHONY ON TAP DIRTBAG ALES BREWERY 4 p.m. The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra is back at Dirtbag Ales for another Symphony on Tap event. Symphony on Tap is a new series with the goal of engaging the community through music and beer. Sym- phony on Tap events have free admission and are sure to be lots of fun. This evening performance will feature music from the FSO's popular jazz trio. This is supported by an Arts Council Mini-Grant and Mary Flagg and Jim Haugh. FRIDAY, MARCH 25 4TH FRIDAY FAYETTEVILLE DOWNTOWN FAYETTEVILLE 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Join the Cool Spring Downtown District as downtown Fayetteville comes alive with performances every 4th Friday of the month. There will be artists, artisans, vendors, performers and more lining the sidewalks of downtown Fayetteville. Many of the downtown merchants, restau- rants and attractions will have extended hours. This is a great time to see what is new downtown and bring the family to have some fun. Check out the over 200 downtown shops, restaurants and businesses. SATURDAY, MARCH 26 VAX YOUR PET, VAX YOURSELF HEALTH DEPARTMENT BUILDING 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The Cumberland County Department of Public Health will host a "Vax Your Pet, Vax Yourself" event at the Health Department, 1235 Ramsey St. Organizations will share information about programs and services they provide. Some participating organizations include The Cumberland County Public Library, De - partment of Social Services, Healthnet, Stedman Wade, Positive Parenting Program, the public health education team and tobacco cessation education program. Masks will be required while inside the building. Rabies vaccinations will cost $5 per pet. Combination shots for your pet and COVID-19 vaccinations will be free. POND POWER CARVERS CREEK STATE PARK 2 p.m. Meet up in front of the Rockefeller house to learn about how the Mill Pond was used as the power source of the farm for many years. You will get a sneak peek at the structures on the dam and learn what they were all used for. Remember it takes about 20 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the Rockefeller house, so show up a little early. Register by stop- ping by the office or calling 910-436-4681. BEACH MUSIC FESTIVAL DIRTBAG ALES BREWERY 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. The Chairmen of the Board, the Martin Davis Band with Jackie Gore, Classic Soul and Rivermist will fill the afternoon with tunes to make your feet tap and pleasure your soul. A variety of food trucks will be on hand to ensure your belly will find comfort too. Gates open at noon. All proceeds go to the Karen Chandler Trust, a local nonprofit dedicated to assist - ing local cancer patients.
