CEED Capital and the City of Fayetteville Community Development Department will be giving up to $10,000 in prizes to the entrepre- neurs with the best pitch. FRIDAY, MARCH 11 HARRY POTTER TRIVIA NIGHT SMOKE BOMB GRILLE 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.. Test your knowledge of all things Harry Potter and the Wizarding World (books & movies) at this special trivia night. Grab your loved ones, Potterhead squad and have some fun. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. This trivia night is being hosted by Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers. FRIDAY, MARCH 11 13TH STORYTELLING FESTIVAL SEGRA STADIUM 6:30 p.m - 8 p.m.. The Cumberland County Public Library is kicking off its 13th Annual Storytelling Festival at Segra Stadium. The theme for this year's festival is "The Sun, the Moon, and the Stars." Programs and activities will focus on the solar system and the stars while exposing participants to stories and myths about the heavens from a variety of cultures. The Cumberland County Public Library received a $5,000 grant from the Arts Council of Fayetteville/ Cumberland County in August 2021 for the Storytelling Festival. This family- friendly event is free and is perfect for kids of all ages, but specifically for those in elementary school. SATURDAY, MARCH 12 CREEK WEEK PICNIC MENDOZA MEMORIAL PARK 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. In honor of the First Annual Creek Week, hosted by the Spring Lake Stormwater Division, the Town of Spring Lake is holding a picnic and talk with Department Head Danna Rosario. She will be informing residents about the stormwater division and the importance of the local drainage system. The event is free, but you do have to bring your own lunch. ST PADDY'S DAY ON HAY HUSKE HARDWARE HOUSE 4 p.m. - 2 a.m. The 5th Annual St Paddy's Day on Hay Music Festival is taking place in his- toric downtown Fayetteville. Traditional St. Paddy's Day fare will be served to include an abundance of green beer, food, and drink specials. Festivities will kick off at 4 p.m. with Mike Ward and the Simpletones. After 7 p.m., this event will be 21+ only with cover. ALPHABET HIKE LAKE RIM PARK 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. For a fun way to explore Lake Rim Park, go on an Alphabet Hike with your little ones. Children will enjoy the fun of a scavenger hunt as they search for the letters of the alphabet on this guided hike. Each letter is a clue to something that is found in the park. This is perfect for kids ages 2 to 6 years old with an adult. Groups can set up an appointment for a private hike. This event is free, call 910-433-1018 to register as there is limited spacing. While at Lake Rim Park, you can also partici - pate in the St. Patrick's Day Leprechaun Hunt, which is a self-guided hunt. Stop at the park office to get your first clue.
