The Red Cross is experiencing the worst blood shortage in over a decade. The dangerously low blood supply levels have forced some hospitals to defer patients from major surgery. Anyone who donates can receive a $10 Amazon Gift Card as a thank you from the American Red Cross. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 23 ARTIST TALK ARTS COUNCIL OF FAYETTEVILLE 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Curator Dwight Smith, artist and associate professor of Performing and Fine Arts at Fayetteville State University, discusses the concept of the Conserving Legacies exhibit, the history of selected art pieces, and its impact on American art. The Conserving Legacies exhibit features over 80 works of historical and contemporary art from FSU's Fine Art Collection. FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 25 EXES & OHS COMEDY TROLLEY BRIGHT LIGHT BREWING COMPANY 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Roses and romance are lovely but what about when Cupid's arrow misses the mark? Grab a ticket and hop on the "Can Do Coldwell Banker" trolley for the Cool Spring Downtown District's Exes & Ohs Comedy Trolley Tour. The tour features comedian, Jose Mwamba, who was featured in the documentary: "Ladies on Laughter" and "Liquor House Comedy Season 1." Jose was also a part of the Wild 'N Out NC tour. There will be two trolley tours, one begins at 7 p.m. and the other at 8 p.m. Each tour will last approximately 45 minutes. This show is for adults, 21+ only. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 26 PARTY AT JAY'S ARTS COUNCIL OF FAYETTEVILLE 8 p.m. Taken from pages of F. Scott Fitzgerald's American classic "The Great Gatsby," PARTY AT JAY'S is told through interactive staging bringing the audience and guests to a Gatsby party. Featuring new and exciting arrangements of jazz standards and an original score that fuses period and contemporary orchestrations. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Masks will be required at all times. FAYETTEVILLE MARKSMEN CROWN COLISEUM 3 p.m. What's better than big hits, incredible goals, and great food and drink? Watch the Fayetteville Marksmen of the Southern Pro- fessional Hockey League fight for another playoff spot against Quad City and enjoy the fast-paced action on the ice. Every Sunday this season, they will honor those actively serving or who have served in our nation's armed forces. Tickets range from $10 to $30. FACT WALK DOWNTOWN FAYETTEVILLE 12 p.m. - 9 p.m. Downtown Fayetteville celebrates more than 250 years of Black History and fea- tures a number of historic sites that focus on the important places of the area's past. Discover the contributions Black citizens have made to the fabric of Fayetteville through a self-guided "A Fact Walk." Along the tour, you will also see a list of many Black-Owned businesses throughout Downtown. The Cool Spring Downtown District encourages you to love where you live and shop local.
