FRIDAY, JANUARY 21 COMEDY NIGHT ALADDIN'S CAFE & HOOKAH LOUNGE 9 p.m. It's Comedy Night at Aladdin's Cafe & Hookah Lounge on Hope Mills Road, headlined by Chris Monds. Monds is originally from Dunn, but calls Charlotte home. He's an observational comic that draws his material from his daily life. His comedic timing and his laid-back approach to delivering jokes have helped him maintain control of the crowd and leave them wanting more. Other comedians featured will be Tre, Major Keyes and Jacob Rice. Call 910-745-9990 for additional information. SATURDAY, JANUARY 22 PASTA CLASS GUSTO NAPOLETANO 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.. This class is a refresher for those who already know how to make pasta dough, or for quick learners. Participants will make pasta dough and they will learn to make spaghetti alla chitarra, Italian square spaghetti. The pasta is made using a unique tool that replicates guitar strings, a box with metal string strung across it. The group will then enjoy their creations. This fun class is geared towards adults. SUNDAY, JANUARY 23 ROCKEFELLER HOUSE TOUR CARVERS CREEK STATE PARK 2 p.m. Carver's Creek State Park staff will be leading a historical tour through Mr. Ja- mes Stillman Rockefeller's winter estate. The tour will include walking through and around the estate, and discussing the history of the surrounding structures, some dating back to the early 1800s. IMPACT OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING METHODIST UNIVERSITY 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Join the Child Advocacy Center for a Community Cafe to discuss Human Traf- ficking in our community. A light supper will be provided. ANNUAL CABIN FEVER CAPE FEAR STUDIOS 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Cape Fear Studios is hosting its Annual Cabin Fever Exhibit. This show is open to all artists and features art in all mediums: oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings; hand- crafted wood art; hand-crafted jewelry, fi- ber and decoupage, photography, pottery, glass artworks and drawings in mixed medium. Voting for the People's Choice Award began on Jan. 14 and will close on Jan. 28 at 4 p.m. The award will be announced on Facebook and Instagram.
