We started off with the IFC Showcase and connected with various individuals interested in joining Greek life, which helped us gain 96 potential recruits. Some of our most significant events included Casino Night, Wright's Chicken, and Coney Island, all of which ended as a great success. Overall, we had a great turnout during our recruitment events so far, and we can confidently say that we finished just as strong as we started. Unlike last year, our men are free to attend classes and participate in labs on campus, which we are grateful for. As WPI continues to relax the many restrictions, men of Epsilon continue to be respectful and responsible by continuing to wear a mask whenever inside a campus building. Our junior Brothers working on their IQP are preparing to be the first in over a year to travel internationally to their project sites. Also, the Chapter House has been able to fully open its doors to friends, alumni, and other guests. Brothers are once more able to host smaller social events in the house. While Epsilon Chapter returns to its lively state, we continue to be mindful of the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to monitor who is in the house and how many guests we allow. Inside the house, life has started to return to normal. Brothers enjoy meals together in the dining room and hold committee or house meetings as they did before the pandemic began. Brothers once more can be seen in the common areas spending free time playing foosball, table tennis, and pool. As Brothers enjoy a moderate return to freedom within the house, they continue to hold health and safety to a high standard by conducting house cleanings regularly. Brothers remain attentive to social distancing, as well as the COVID-19 test results they receive, to ensure everyone has the opportunity to these freeing activities. Given the chance a member receives a positive test, they proceed to quarantine at the WPI townhouses located near campus; isolation lasts 10 days, and WPI provides three meals a day. Outside of classes, Brothers maintain eta Chi's strong and respected presence on the hill. is has been especially emphasized this year as campus begins to open again as we once knew it. Unlike last year, new recruits are allowed in the house. Having a semblance of normalcy in the house, in addition to the stunning renovated exterior of the Epsilon Chapter House, has garnered plenty of positive attention from campus. With the opportunity of obtaining a third consecutive Fraternity of the Year award, Brothers are working hard on the Chapter Excellence submission. ey are feeling optimistic about what is to come, and they continue with sturdy judgement while enjoying the time here and entailing what it means to be a Brother of Epsilon Chapter.
