Due to COVID-19, we saw much of the public, including alumni and undergraduates, stay indoors. is limited the attendance we had at our monthly dinners. Now, with the virus slowly regressing, Epsilon Chapter would like to inspire alumni classes to reengage with each other at one of the eta Chi Monthly Dinners. One effective way to get more Brothers to the dinners is through class sponsorships. Your class can "sponsor" a dinner by taking ownership for its success, selecting the venue, and promoting the event among your classmates. e idea is to get as many of your peer Brothers to attend as possible to reconnect, share some great stories, and strengthen bonds. All alumni are invited to attend the dinners, but especially important are the members of the sponsoring class. For updates, the monthly dinner schedule is always available on oxepsilon.org. As you might notice, some of the months in 2022 do not yet have a named venue, making them prime opportunities for sponsorships, including April 7 and June 2. If you are interested in getting your class together and sponsoring a dinner, then please contact Kevin Ramos '22 at karamos@wpi.edu or James Melvin '85 at jmm2562@gmail.com to help make it happen; we know where all the band members live and can help with outreach. We hope you find this a welcome opportunity to reengage with your fellow Brothers, and we can't wait to see you and your class at the next dinner! Smoke Shop BBQ dinner in early November. A NEW BEGINNING First-Year Alumnus Nicholas Pitti '21 Reflects on Time at Epsilon Chapter Life after graduation, and subsequently making the transition from active Brother to alumnus, can be bittersweet. As rewarding as it was to graduate and start a new life away from school, and as sweet as it is to begin a new chapter in life by moving from theory to practice in the workplace and applying the skills I've been building upon for years, I still realize I've left the place where some of my most formative and memorable experiences were made. Epsilon Chapter made these past four years some of the best years of my life. As I left WPI and the Chapter House, however, I felt prepared and ready. e diversity and character of the Brothers in the house taught me how to be a resolute man throughout life while simultaneously leaving room for fun along the way. e active Brothers are continuing to lead the Epsilon Chapter in a great direction, and I am excited to see more members make lasting memories during their time in college. As a first-year alumnus, I intend to engage in Epsilon Chapter and encourage all alumni reading this to do the same. e Brothers thrive from active alumni coming back and making valuable connections. I am grateful for all the lasting friendships I've made at the Chapter House, and I will do my best to give back what I can. Coming out of school, I struggled to find a job in my field for a few months; fortunately, I was hired as an engineer through a connection. As alumni, we can be the steppingstone in many of the graduating Brothers' lives by offering a helping hand to alumni in search of work. Overall, I wouldn't trade my time at eta Chi for anything. ank you to everyone who made it the insurmountable experience that it was. Fraternally, Nicholas Pitti '21 oxepsilon.org
