Make memories with the Cool Spring Downtown District Elves on a family-friendly trolley tour of local neighborhood holiday lights and decorations. Musical elf, Michael Daughtry will ensure all is merry and bright with a festive performance of songs of the season. Riders are invited to sing along. Each tour will last approximately 45 minutes. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children under 12 years of age and free for children under 2 years of age. FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10 BEER & CIGAR NIGHT BRIGHT LIGHT BREWING CO. 6:30 - 10 p.m. Join Bright Light Brewing Co. for a night of beer and cigar pairings. Anstead's will be there to pair three cigars with three Bright Light beers. Choose one beer and cigar upon arrival. The event costs $25. An- stead's will also bring other varieties of cigars for purchase. Those smoking cigars must do so outside. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 11 HUSKE HARDWARE DOWNTOWN FAYETTEVILLE 8 - 9:15 a.m., 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. Enjoy a pancake breakfast with Santa at Huske Hardware Restaurant in beautiful historic downtown Fayetteville. There will be two sessions. Breakfast includes a plate of pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, hot chocolate or milk and hot coffee for adults. Santa will be making an appearance, so bring your cameras. Tickets must be purchased in advance and seating is limited. Questions can be emailed to events@huskehardware.com All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Tickets are required for entrance. SUNDAY, DECEMBER 12 CHRISTMAS CHARITY WEEKEND BLACK OPS PAINTBALL 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Bring a toy or donate money. Every year Black Ops collects toys for the local Toys- -For-Tots. Black Ops is also affiliated with the A.I.M. Athletics Foundation which provides free entry for paintball or airsoft to those who may be less fortunate, suffering from a debilitating sickness or a soldier returning home or with PTSD. If you bring a toy worth $20 or more your entry will be free. If you have not brought a toy then half of your entry will be donated to the A.I.M. Athletics Foundation on your behalf. THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER CAPE FEAR REGIONAL THEATRE 2 - 3:15 p.m., 6 - 7:15 p.m. In this hilarious classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids, prob- ably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won't believe the mayhem, and the fun, when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head-on. A ro- tation of four different casts (Cinnamon, Clove, Ginger and Nutmeg casts) will be performing this one-hour-long performance. SUNDAY, DECEMBER 12 METEOR SHOWER LAKE RIM PARK 8 - 10 p.m. Learn about asteroids, meteorites and com- ets and head outside to view the Geminids, one of the most impressive meteor showers of the year. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and dress for the weather. This event occurs after operating hours. Be sure to arrive promptly at 8 p.m. so staff can let you in the gate.
