2021 Women in Business

he COVID-19 pandemic has affected everything during the past 18 months, including how human service programs across the country design and deliver programs. Last year, Women's Resource Center had to change our model of program delivery. Safely providing our core services to our clients remains our chief priority. Using technology, we have expanded our reach throughout the community, streamlined our client intake process, and are continuing to eff ectively serve our client base. In March of last year, we transitioned to remote services and began providing mental health counseling followed shortly by career development programs. Knowing that our community would be looking for resource connectivity, we also launched a COVID-19 resource page on our website. We continue to send out a weekly "Resource Report" every Monday morning to highlight programs and resources available in our community and beyond. Since the launch of remote services, we have conducted 7,166 remote appointments and our Weekly Resource report now has more than 14,000 subscribers and averages more than 2,600 views per week. The COVID-19 resource page has received more than 17,137 views and we have directed 10,249 individuals to resources. WRC has been providing programs in our community for the past 40 years. Our mission is to engage, educate, enrich, and empower women of all generations. Just like all of us have experienced at one time or another, these women have reached one of life's turning points and come to WRC anxiously seeking support and a fresh start.
