Dear Alpha Delta sisters, This year is filled with hope as we return to Mizzou. With regard to university standards and the climate of the world, it seems like we are returning to the fall of 2019 instead. In-person classes have started at Mizzou, and the football stadium is full. We will return to an in-person chapter and initiation, and there will be no more mandatory Zoom meetings. Social activities will happen once again, and the house will be filled with laughter and true examples of sisterhood and philanthropy. Throughout the summer, we thoroughly cleaned the furniture, floors, rugs, and bathrooms as well as every nook and cranny in the house. Since the house is still fairly new and in great shape, we have only updated a few areas, including study chairs for the basement study rooms, a couple of new tables in a lounge and entry hall, and new furniture for the backyard patio; however, some updates may go unnoticed, such as fixing metal outside doors that took a beating during the remodel, painting in needed spots, and adding protective corners for the bedroom hallways and basement halls. These corners take a beating with each move in and move out, and we hope to protect them for the entire year. The Affiliated House Corporation Board instituted a parent network and started a Facebook page for questions and answers that need immediate attention. We also hosted a Zoom presentation to inform parents about Billhighway and OmegaFi, the financial tools for the AHC and chapter, respectively. Our goal is to try to keep parents as informed as possible and give them a heads-up about sorority life and who we are as Alpha Deltas. Since everyone became so familiar with Zoom this past year and a half, we thought it would be a great way to answer questions. We are busy planning for our 101st anniversary celebration taking place April 29 through May 1. It will be a spectacular event, and we hope that many of you will be able to make it back to Columbia for this celebration. See page 4 for more details. You can also stay connected to Alpha Delta with our Facebook page, Alpha Delta Chapter (Missouri-Columbia) Gamma Phi Beta Alumnae. It's a private group, but we'll be happy to accept you! We're allowed to welcome visitors back to the house, so if you are in Columbia, please stop by, introduce yourself, and have someone give you a tour of our beautiful facility. The house is always locked, so you'll need to ring the bell or catch someone on the front porch or backyard to get in. It will be worth your trip! We hope to see you in April at the 101st celebration of Alpha Delta at MIZZOU! TRUE & CONSTANT!
