2 ALPHA DELTA HILITES W e couldn't be prouder of our Alpha Delta sisters as they continue to exceed both in the chapter and academically. Plus, our members really know how to get involved! Here is what the chapter has been up to. ACADEMICS Alpha Delta continues to thrive academically! While there have been many changes in recent years, we are so pleased that our sisters have proceeded to put in their best work. Our GPA for the spring 2021 semester was 3.5, which is above the University and Fraternity and Sorority Life averages. Not bad for a semester online! PHILANTHROPY Due to COVID-19 restrictions last semester, we held a virtual Moonball philanthropy event. While we were sad that we couldn't see everyone in person, we still made the most of it and raised $2,802! Our weeklong virtual event was filled with activities that promoted women empowerment, confidence, and exercise. Some activities included were Mile Monday and T-Shirt Tuesday, which were advertised to all students on campus. While our virtual event was a success, we are so excited to continue the rest of this year in person. MEMBERSHIP We had an amazing recruitment this semester and welcomed 64 new members to the pink palace! Our Bid Day theme was Stagecoach, a country music festival. We're so excited for our new members to join us and create memories. CHAPTER ACTIVITIES We are excited to participate in Homecoming this semester with Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) and Kappa Alpha as our partners. Last semester, we participated in many activities with chapters on campus, including a study and trivia night with Delta Upsilon. PARENT EVENTS We hosted Mom's Weekend on May 1-2. We encouraged the moms of our members to visit the house to show our appreciation for all that they do. It was wonderful to see everyone together!
