WWW.UPANDCOMINGWEEKLY.COM SEPTEMBER 1-7, 2021 UCW 19 WEEKLY HOROSCOPE NEWS OF THE WEIRD by the Editors at Andrews McMeel Syndication News That Sounds Like A Joke Dan Ball, a host on One America News, interviewed Amelia Miller about her newfound power: She claims she became magnetic after getting the Pfizer vaccine in December 2020. According to HuffPost, Miller said she recently started "to feel this extremely strong metallic taste in my mouth" and remembered stories about people who had become magnetic after being vaccinated. "I thought all these videos were hoaxes, people are doing it, like you said, for social media fame," Miller told Ball. But then she tried sticking metal objects to her skin, and they stayed, and the metallic taste came back. When she tried to demonstrate during the interview, one metal object stuck, while another fell off. "I'm speechless. I'm just going to end the interview right there," Ball responded. Shooting Sports A 19-year-old woman in Kenosha, Wisconsin, accidentally shot a friend with his own handgun while using the weapon's laser sight to entertain a cat, the Associated Press reported. The woman, who had been drinking, according to a witness, picked up the friend's handgun, "turned on the laser sight and was pointing it at the floor to get the cat to chase it," the police report said. The gun went off and a bullet struck the 21-year-old man in the thigh. The victim was charged for violating bond conditions that prevented him from having a gun. Latest Religious Message WXIX-TV reported that Charles Mullins, 65, was arrested on Aug. 3 and charged with ar- son after a fire at his home in Boone County, Kentucky. Ac- cording to police, firefighters were called to Mullins' home around 3:15 that morning. Mullins admitted that he started the fire by turning on the gas stove, pouring gasoline around the house and then lighting a piece of paper. Mullins said God had told him to start the fire and leave Kentucky, which he probably won't be doing for some time now. He was held on $25,000 bond. Question: Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel have had live audi- ences for months. Stephen Colbert is back in his theater. Why are James Corden and Seth Meyers still without live audiences? ey are all much more entertaining with a responsive group! — Steve Matt Roush: Both Seth Meyers and James Corden have given interviews recently suggesting they're in no rush to bring live audiences back to their late-late shows, enjoying the freedom of their new formats and hoping to preserve some of that looseness when the time comes to welcome people back into their studios. I'd expect both hosts will play to au- diences again in the fall, if things continue returning to normalcy without another setback. To submit questions to TV Critic Matt Roush, go to: tvinsider.com. By Damian Holbrook Cheers to Peacock for dipping its beak into daytime. NBC's stream- er plans to produce "Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem," a five-epi- sode event set to bring back Lisa Rinna's Billie Reed to tangle with fan faves from the 56-year-old soap. We're already in a lather! Cheers to "Black Monday" for its gold-standard ensemble. Between Don Cheadle, Regina Hall, Casey Wilson, Paul Scheer, Ken Marino and Andrew Rannells, the mur- der-mystery- soaked third season of Showtime's stock-market satire was a windfall for fans of Emmy- caliber comedy. Every show should invest in a cast this good. Jeers to "Law & Order" for de- moting Dylan McDermott. e "Organized Crime" baddie has been bumped down from series regular to recurring for the NBC drama's second season this fall, meaning we'll get less of those electrifying exchanges between his mobster Richard Wheat- ley and Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni). And that's a real crime. ARIES - March 21/April 20 Aries, this week will challenge your flex- ibilit y.
