BUILDING A STRONG
BETA MU NETWORK
Alumni and Undergraduates Connect
During Career Advisory Session
B
eta Mu's Alumni Advisory Board endeavors to host at least one career advisory session per
semester. A big thanks goes to Jeremy Garner '94 and Daren Nix '97 for leading a session on
preparing for real estate careers on May 4 at the Pike house. Pike undergraduates learned from
these experienced industry pros about the retail and industrial sectors and the fundamentals of real
estate development, investment and various types of brokerages. Alumni are encouraged to speak to a
weekly chapter meeting during the school year or make arrangements to do a career advisory session.

Pike Parents Celebrated
T
his spring, the chapter hosted parents at two events. Dad's Weekend was held March 6 and 7. e weekend consisted of watching March Madness
matchups together, a casino party, a sunny aernoon rooop reception and small dinners around Austin. In April, the moms got their own
weekend of fun in Austin April 9 and 10. Friday night dinner was served at the Pike house, lunch on the town Saturday in small groups and
Saturday aernoon included the traditional Lady Bird Lake sunset boat cruise. A good time was had by all and we appreciate and the many parents who
make so much possible for Beta Mu Chapter.
