3 Audrey Nguyen-Hoang Stanford – Biochemistry (Pre-Med) "Audrey...brilliant... passionate...organized... caring—these are just a few of the words that come to mind and they don't begin to truly describe who Audrey is. She hasn't only been a blessing to this advising group, but also to Seabury. We will miss you, Audrey, yet we know it is time for you go out and explore this beautiful world. Thanks for always being you!" Mr. Gollier, Advisor Morgan Orozco Florida State University "Morgan always strives to do and be her best. Your fellow advisees and I will miss your leadership, interesting contributions to discussion, and of course, your pumpkin-carving talents! We look forward to hearing about your adventures in college and beyond!" Ms. Schrader, Advisor Matthew Petillo University of Kansas – Computer Science and Journalism "Matthew is funny and smart and we can always count on hearing the latest news from him, as he loves to be in the know about current events. I will truly miss my politically active and socially conscious advisee and insist he comes back to visit our group for lunch next year!" Ms. Porter, Advisor Catharine Richards UMass Amherst - Dance "Catharine is a dancer. Since her first day in advising as a tiny sixth grader, she has moved through our lives like a dancer. She has been so involved with our group, from playing cards to helping lead our picture day photo. She has made new students feel at home. All of us wish her so much luck in the future. We can't wait for the fun reports back. She will probably dance them!" Mr. Weaver, Advisor Jackson Rogers University of Kansas – Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences "Jackson is going to put the 'cool' back in computer engineering. He has a practical nature and sees the big picture, not just with technology, but with life and happiness. Jackson is hardworking, understated, and humble, yet passionate once he gets rolling. Our group won't be the same without him next year and we are excited to hear from him in the future." Mr. Nelson, Advisor Marissa Roggero Johnson County Community College "I can honestly say that Marissa is one of the most kind and dedicated students I have ever met. She has a tremendous heart, a beautiful spirit, and a welcoming smile. I am so proud of the young woman you have become! I will be rooting for you as you take your next steps in life! All of us in advising love you and will miss you!" Ms. Heim, Advisor Brayden Shumaker Colorado State University "Joining us in seventh grade, Brayden has been a rock, a mainstay in our advising group. An organizer and a fixture, Brayden has done so much for the tone of our advising. He's a fisherman, tennis player, outdoors guy, and truly a gentleman. What a treat the world is going to get when Brayden makes his way into it. We certainly have enjoyed his company!" Mr. Weaver, Advisor Jeffrey Smrha-Monroe Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - Biochemistry and Biophysics "Jeffrey came to Seabury as a quiet, reserved ninth grader, but he has become a hilarious, creative, and raucous member of our advising. I don't think any of us will forget when a group of middle schoolers formed a dance circle with Jeffrey in the center." Ms. Barbour Yada Suthithavil University of Kansas - Psychology "If anyone was a born artist, it is Yada, but she is gifted in many other ways. Yada was involved in cheering, Young Democrats, and the Diversity Club. She also has a lot of life experience, which allows her to empathize and advocate for others. Yada will forever have her alter familia and Porter family as her 'home(s) away from home!'" Ms. Porter, Advisor Catherine Timkar University of Kansas – Linguistics and Kiswahili "I consider myself incredibly lucky to have had Catherine as our senior in advising this year. She has an incredibly giving spirit and she thoughtfully involved the younger members of our group throughout the year, be it in pumpkin-decorating or simply asking them how they were doing. I am certain big things are in her future!" Mr. Neuteboom, Advisor Dmitrii Tulupov UMKC Conservatory of Music "It has been an absolute pleasure to get to know Dmitrii these last couple years. I have always been impressed by his megawatt smile and constant friendliness, giving spirit, and absolute unwavering commitment to excellence in music. Dmitrii will be someone who does great things in the future! I can't wait to see what he does next!" Mr. Neuteboom Paige Weigel-Helt University of Kansas – Business Management and Leadership "Paige is a loyal friend and can be a fierce defender if need be...and some of you know it need be! I admire her dedication, kindness, sense of humor, and entrepreneurial spirit. I'm with you in spirit, girl, as you pass this next milestone. I can't wait to hear what comes next!" Mr. Barbour, Advisor Peter Westbrook Stanford University – Mathematical and Computational Sciences "Behind Peter's amazing intellect is a caring and thoughtful person and he remains one of a kind. His dry wit is tremendously funny and pointed. His horizon is set on Stanford University, where he will grow in every way. We'll all certainly hear more of Peter in the future." Ms. Lawrence, Advisor Alex White University of Kansas - Architecture "Alex is an enthusiastic singer who looks on track to remain active with music in some way as he jets off to KU. Congratulations on your membership with the Heartland Men's Chorus in Kansas City. They are lucky to have you. We are sad to lose you, but excited to see what lies ahead. Omnia sol!" Ms. Lawrence, Advisor Bruce Xu University of Washington "Bruce is going to make a great engineer. Complex problems jump off the page at him, making difficult problems seem easier. If Bruce's confidence could be bottled up and sold, it would be a valuable commodity—one sorely needed in young people today. This confidence will serve Bruce well in life, in business, and in pickup basketball games." Mr. Nelson
