4120 Clinton Parkway Lawrence, KS 66047 Address Service Requested A PUBLICATION FOR ALUMNI, PARENTS, AND FRIENDS OF BISHOP SEABURY ACADEMY Bishop Seabury A C A D E M Y The Independent Explorations Program (IExP) is a multi-year endeavor for students in ninth through eleventh grade who want to explore a subject area or personal passion beyond the BSA curriculum. They will be matched with a mentor and receive an IExP certification on their transcript. Kalli McClure, our WRAP counselor, will introduce a new co-curriculum in Social-Emotional Education (SEE) with students in grades 6-9. Brian Rios and Vanessa Eicher will also help teach SEE starting next fall. The goals of SEE are building and maintaining friendships, practicing kindness, empathy, and social awareness and managing stress and anxiety. Our cool new Digital Design class will inspire students in design, digital photography and beyond. They will even create their own digital portfolio! Seabury will initiate a new Instrumental Music course, providing opportunities for our young musicians to work in an ensemble. Xello is an award-winning program that will help students set goals, explore passions, and build personalized academic and career plans. Seabury is now a member of the Kaw Valley Athletic Conference: Following the great success of the Writing Lab, student tutors will begin offering their help to fellow students in the new Math Lab. Thanks to the success of this year's auction Fund-A-Need, we will begin to transition to Chromebooks for the student population, and the Garden/Pond/Chicken Coop area is underway and will be a beautiful addition for our back campus!
