Phi Sigma Kappa 3 O verall, the spring semester has progressed well, and we have many successes to celebrate even through the difficulty of this pandemic. One way we excelled this spring was through our philanthropic efforts. Our philanthropy chairman, Joey Lopez '24, planned a day for brothers to participate in Polar Plunge. We raised more than $1,000 for the Special Olympics through this endeavor! We are also raising money for Zeta's Big Man on Campus philanthropic event. Brother Logan Boyer '21 leads the way with this and has raised more than $200. Recruitment Remains Strong and Steady This semester, we also were able to welcome a large New Associate Member class of 16 men, despite COVID-19 changing the recruitment format. Compared to last semester, we have about the same number of associates joining, and overall, they are diverse in many ways and seem like they will be a great fit in our chapter. Inductor Ethan Archer '22 has two meetings each week with the associates over Zoom, where he teaches them chapter history and brother information. Study Hard, Play Hard With the semester winding down, most of the brothers are focusing more on their academics, especially with finals approaching, as well as participating in our intramural sports teams, including soccer, volleyball, and ultimate frisbee. When not working on schoolwork or participating in sports, we have some brotherhood events planned every other week. Brotherhood Chairman Kyle Gujral '21 has been busy planning different brotherhood events while taking precautions and being mindful of COVID-19. Most of the brothers participated in a March Madness Bracket Challenge, even though everyone's brackets were thrown off. Phi Sig Finds Its Groove Again This semester has been significantly better than the last. Everything is more organized at Delta Triton, and the executive board members have a better understanding of their roles. We are grateful that hope is on the horizon in terms of the pandemic. Thank you for your ongoing support of Delta Triton Chapter!
