Delta Chi Fraternity at Kansas State University Delta Chi Fraternity at Kansas State University SPRING 2021 SPRING 2021 A fter two years of fundraising, touring apartments in Manhattan, and putting everything on pause during a pandemic, we are excited to announce that we have purchased a property for the Chapter, ONE YEAR ahead of schedule! The apartment is located at 801 Moro St. on the southeast side of campus. We officially took ownership on March 31, 2021. The Decision to Purchase We toured the property in January and met virtually as a House Corporation to discuss financials and weigh all options. We then met with the entire chapter via Zoom to answer their questions and get their approval. The House Corporation decided to move forward. One 3-bedroom apartment will be converted and remodeled as the common and study space for the chapter. That will leave five apartments that house a total of 14 Delta Chis. This size gives the chapter a central place to call home and spend time together. Campaign Ending July 2021— Deadline to Donate As we move closer to our fundraising goal of $700,000, we ask that you make a gift today. Hitting that minimum amount will give the chapter financial flexibility and allow us to keep rent at a fair rate. Your donations will also help fund the transformation and renovation of the common space, academic study space, and purchase of furniture. While we have secured the property, there is still work to be done. The deadline to donate is July 31, 2021. Matching Challenge Continues We want to remind alumni that all donations for the remainder of our campaign will be matched. Seven generous alumni pooled $100,000 for a challenge, and we need your help to take advantage of that challenge. Every dollar that you donate will make an impact.
