The Quartzsite Area Chamber of Commerce and Toursim in cooper- ation with the Town of Quartzsite held the Annual Christmas Light Parade on Saturday, December 5, 2020. The streets were packed with spectators in their vehicles, as parade participates displayed their Christmas spirit. This year was truly amazing as OHVs, non- profi ts, businesses, RV parks, churches, youth groups joined with their fl oats and lighted en- tries to the parade. The parade ended at the the Town Park where cookies and hot cocoa were pro- vided by Town of Quartzsite. The Chamber would like to thank the Town Hall Staff for all their hard work this year. The Chamber is so very grateful to Lois Dupre and her Food Bank volunteers for stuffi ng socks with treats for all the kids. A special thank you to Victor and Dee Nise Stoe for stepping in for Santa and Mrs. Claus, since they were so busy at the North Pole, getting all those presents ready for Christ- mas delivery! This year the Best Overall Travel- ing Trophy went to the wonderful folks at Rainbow Acres for their beautifully decorated OHVS! The Chamber also wants to thank all the people who participated in the parade this year and made it such a great evening's fun for everyone. We hope you all had a great time and that it will inspire you to participate in the parade next year!! Quartzsite Magistrate Judge Pamela Shirley adminsters the Oath of Offi ce to Mayor Norm Simpson, and Council Members (L to R) Karey Amon, Starr BearCat, Beverly Cunningham. You know it's Christmas when Santa arrives at the Annual Light Parade!
