Active Chapter Recognized with
True Merit Honorable Mention Status
Undergraduate Brothers Serve
as Academic Leaders at UNL
E
ven with the restrictions in place because of COVID-19,
this is shaping up to be a memorable academic year.
The brothers returned to 1433 R St. this fall and are off
to a strong start to the semester with the chapter house at full
capacity. We were excited to welcome back our wonderful
master chef Do and also welcomed Bobby Smith as our new
house director.
At this year's ATΩ national award ceremony, we were given
the recognition of True Merit Honorable Mention. Even though
we were a few steps away from another True Merit Bowl, I am
confident in our abilities to bring one home next year. Gamma
Theta also received awards for scholarship, recruitment, and
excellence. I am looking forward to what the next executive
board can accomplish. Despite the sudden shift to online
classes to end the spring semester, we still had an abundance of
academic success. Gamma Theta's 3.4 GPA was well above the
UNL all-men's average.
Recruitment Chairmen Cade Fisher '18, Nick Lamb '18, and Will Turner '18 brought in another
impressive fall class to bring our total membership to 130 men. This puts us as one of the largest
fraternities on campus and on track to have the largest membership in Gamma Theta's history. We
had 20 members of our fall 2019 new member class attend the Emerging Leaders Conference in
Kansas City, Missouri, where they gained valuable knowledge about leadership and learned about
the five values of ATΩ.
Unfortunately, this will be my final time writing to you as president. I would like to extend my
sincerest thank you to all Gamma Theta alumni and our Board of Directors. None of what we have
would be possible without the time and dedication everyone puts into supporting Gamma Theta.
The mentorship we've been provided helps us to stay true to our motto as America's
leadership development fraternity.
Love and Respect,
Nate Allgood '18
