We need $636,648 to be exact; but first, this update. A small band of dedicated brothers have donated hundreds of hours to rebuilding Alpha Eta. To date, 158 brothers have donated over $3.8 million to the construction project. Recruitment, Chapter development, and learning the operations of a new, 24,000-square- foot facility have required much dedication and sacrifice. There are still many challenges ahead, but the progress is obvious. We are indebted to these men who have given so generously. A quick review: the oldest and saddest Chapter House on campus was undermining our recruitment efforts. The two-year suspension was a morale killer. Living in the dorm during construction totally disrupted the fraternity experience. We experienced a semester delay in the completion of the new house, only to be followed by the closing of all campus housing in March. Now, the students have returned to a COVID-19 university experience. These are certainly challenging times. Today, Alpha Eta has OSU's newest and most unique Chapter House. Summer recruitment was amazing and we have 60 men living in the house this fall. The rebuilding of the Chapter continues with a focus on reestablishing the bonds of brotherhood and developing a fraternity experience that provides positive personal growth opportunities. How can you show your appreciation for all that has been accomplished over the past three years? DONATE! Many foundations and agencies have canceled all fundraising events for 2020. So, why not redirect some of your annual donations to Lambda Chi?! We have an urgent need to reduce our $4.3 million bank debt. We can do this if you make a first-time donation, pay your pledge, recruit new donors, or even consider adding another year to your pledge. Show your appreciation for your Lambda Chi experiences and memories. Show your appreciation for those alumni who work tirelessly to rebuild our Chapter. Show your commitment to the future success of Alpha Eta. Hey, it's only money…DONATE to Lambda Chi today! In Z.A.X., Steve Holton AH910 Campaign Chairman steve@cnbpoteau.com O n August 15, the Alpha Eta brotherhood suffered a devastating loss: Keifer Tull AH2009 took his own life in his Stillwater home. The immediate reaction among his brothers, family, and friends at Oklahoma State and across the country, as is often the case with such a harrowing circumstance, was shock. Keifer was a man who, by every measure, fit perfectly into the fraternity and aligned precisely with its values. As a freshman and an associate, he pursued membership into Alpha Eta diligently. He took up every opportunity to involve himself around the house and within the Greek neighborhood. Once he was initiated in the spring of 2018, Keifer was properly dedicated to his responsibilities as an initiated member, big brother, and participant in the initiation ritual.
