Delta Chi Fraternity at Kansas State University SUMMER 2020 HELP US FINISH STRONG Brothers, We hope that you and your families are staying safe and healthy this year amidst these unusual times. We have some very exciting news to share with you regarding the Securing the Future of The Delta Chi Fraternity capital campaign and the success of the undergraduate chapter. Reading this newsletter gives you an opportunity to catch up on all things Delta Chi K-State. $100,000 Challenge Issued by Alumni This spring, seven generous alumni came together to fund a $100,000 campaign challenge. The challenge is very simple: If we, as an alumni base, can raise $100,000, then they will match every dollar donated up to $100,000. That means we can raise $200,000 with successful support for the challenge. This would put us very close to meeting our fundraising goal of $700,000. We are so thankful for the support of these alumni brothers and encourage you to accept the challenge by making a contribution. Every single dollar that you donate will be matched. We want to thank the following alumni for stepping up and donating to our campaign to fund this challenge: Ed Redhair '74, Mark Alley '95, Mike Dichiser '95, Aaron Otto '98, Matt Killingsworth '02, Phil Martin '04, and an anonymous donor. Remaining Competitive on Campus Delta Chi at K-State consistently ranks in the top 10 for grades among fraternities and our brothers are some of the most involved on campus. Throughout Greek life, the Student Governing Association, and various clubs on campus, we are leading the way. We are able to recruit some of the best incoming freshmen at K-State thanks to our standing on campus. The one area that we are not as competitive in is providing brothers a common space to gather, promote brotherhood, and study. When you support the capital campaign, you help ensure that we will not only remain one of the top chapters on campus, but move into that coveted top spot. Your support will have a positive, lasting impact on Delta Chi at K-State. How You Can Support We understand that there is a lot going on and that your lives may not be back to normal. As a reminder, pledges to the campaign can be made over a five-year period to spread out your donation. So if making a one-time gift may be difficult right now, a pledge of $5,000 over five years might be easier to manage as $1,000 per year (~$2.75 per day). Please consider giving today by filling out the pledge form and mailing it in with the enclosed envelope or simply by visiting TinyURL.com/DXKState. We are so thankful for the continued support of our dedicated alumni across the country. Broad participation is essential to the success of this challenge and our campaign. In a little over a year since our campaign was announced, we've received overwhelming support from Delta Chi alumni and have raised over $500,000. While we may not be able to gather as brothers this fall, we will keep you up-to-date on everything Delta Chi through this newsletter, emails, and social media posts. Please stay connected and we will keep you informed as updates become available. Fraternally, John T. Video conferencing has made large gatherings and recruitment possible this summer and we plan to continue utilizing those platforms in the fall.
