On Thursday August 20th at 11AM,
Mike Nagowski, Chief Executive Officer
of Cape Fear Valley Health, will be the
keynote presenter of the Chamber's
Virtual Chairman's Coffee Club.
Nagowski will present an update on
the health system and the ongoing
pandemic. He will share Cape Fear
Valley Health's experience with the
COVID-19 pandemic, its response, as
well as updates on other Cape Fear
Valley Health projects to include the
medical residency program.
ABOUT MICHAEL NAGOWSKI, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Mike Nagowski assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer of Cape
Fear Valley Health System in January 2008. The Health System is a private,
not-for-profit hospital system and its major system components are: CFV
Medical Center, CFV Rehab Center, Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital,
Bladen County Hospital, Behavioral Health Care, and CFV Hoke Hospital.
The Health System also manages Harnett Health (two hospital systems in
Harnett County).
Cape Fear Valley Health is the 8th largest in North Carolina and is regionally
recognized for its comprehensive cardiac and cancer centers, neurosurgery
and orthopedic clinical programs, Women's Birthing Center (5000 plus
deliveries annually) and neonatal ICU. Under Mike's leadership, the Health
System started a residency program in coordination with the state's 5th
Medical School (Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine).
Mike has a Master of Business Administration from Saint Bonaventure
University in Olean, New York.
On a personal note, Mike is a former Marine. He and his wife, Kim, have
been married 35 years and are the proud parents of three children – Victoria
Nagowski, Nick Nagowski and Ashley Nagowski Bittner. They are also the
grandparents of two -- Charlotte Jane and Crosby Michael.
