CVB PROMOTIONAL EFFORTS NET RESULTS Throughout the 2019-2020 fiscal year, the Faye eville Area Con- ven on & Visitors Bureau (FACVB) con nued to promote Cum- berland County through various ini a ves and public rela ons efforts, seeing a wealth of results. • Hosted 9 travel writers prior to COVID-19. Four planned visits were canceled or rescheduled due to the pandemic. The visits, coupled with other outreach efforts, resulted in 53 out of market stories about Cumberland County as a des na on for conven ons, tournaments and individual travel. • Coordinated Heroes Homecoming VII, which brought to- gether partners from many of Cumberland County's munici- pali es to thank and honor our veterans. As part of Heroes Homecoming VII, the FACVB worked with Dirtbag Ales to develop Heroes Homecoming Pilsner. Dirtbag Ales coordi- nated with locals in the area to donate 60+ cases of beer to soldiers who were quaran ned for 14 days a er returning from overseas. In early March, I nominated the Cumberland County community to Reader's Digest "Nicest Places in the United States" contest. In the entry, I cited Dirtbag Ales' ef- forts for quaran ned troops and as a result, the Hope Mills brewery was recognized by the magazine as the "Nicest Place in NC for 2020!" • In April the FACVB launched "This Special Place" video as a tribute to our community and its spirit of help and sacrifice. #ThisSpecialPlace is a two-minute video that speaks to the resiliency of people in Faye eville and Cumberland County. To date, the video has generated more than 75,000 views across all social pla orms and four published stories. One of the stories aired on WRAL's Tarheel Traveler, sta ng that the "video showcases the strength and endurance of Faye eville during Coronavirus pandemic." 700 Ramsey St. Fayetteville, NC 28301 • Incredibly Fresh Flowers • Custom Silk Designs • Lovely Plants & Dish Gardens • Fabulous Showroom & Gi Shop • Conveniently Located Within Minutes of Fayetteville Hospitals & Funeral Homes Corporate Services: • Lobby & Office arrangements • Grand openings • Promotions Flowers Express What Words Cannot www.FloralArtsNC.com 910.822.0425 Celebrating 40 Years of Service Image via Wikimedia Commons via Denis Bourez Flower for July Larkspur
