"The Chamber will be moving this month to Festival Park Plaza, 225 Ray Avenue Suite 165 to a new suite of offices from which we will continue our 121 year history of serving the business community," said Christine Michaels, President & CEO. "We will occupy space formerly held by the Fayetteville Woodpeckers when they set up operations prior to the opening of Segra Stadium." The building the Chamber has occupied for the past 5 years is for sale. "We know the right buyer will come along for this fantastic space," Michaels said. "We thank the building's owners, Chamber Partners LLP, for its understanding, and for their support as we make this transition, which will be effective June 30. The Chamber's new location enables us to be more efficient with our space requirements under the social distancing restrictions in place now and whatever they may be in the foreseeable future," Michaels added. Other than for the ensuing two weeks of the actual move, Michaels said she predicts Chamber operations to remain as "normal" as possible. "Of course we have many logistics to complete for a move of this nature," she said, " but our virtual programs will remain in place until such time as we can hold in-person meetings safely. We also hope to schedule our State of the Community and Command Performance events virtually and are working on those details," she said. The Chamber has been providing virtual committee meetings, virtual networking, and Back in Business kits for business reopening since the COVID-19 pandemic struck. She added that several of their major programs, such as Bikes & BBQ in November, and the Spouses in Military conference and expo in November, are already being planned. "We are deeply appreciative of the Festival Park Plaza management and to Jordan Jones for enabling us to secure such suitable space so quickly," said Jerome Scott, The Insurance Guy, who serves as the Chairman of the Chamber's Board of Directors. "We're excited to remain in the downtown area, and to be able to seamlessly provide services to our 700 member businesses," he said. A grand opening is planned when regulations allow, and more details on the move will be forthcoming. Any Chamber members who are able to volunteer to assist with the move in the next two weeks are asked to email Christine Michaels at cmichaels@faybiz.com. *Photo courtesy of the Fayetteville Observer W E ' R E M O V I N G !
