1. Ownership: All entries must be bona fide property of the exhibitor; otherwise he forfeits all prize money and all other premiums, as well as the right to have his stock in the showroom. 2. EXHIBITORS: Must be an ACTIVE member in Good Standing of a Benton County 4-H Club or FFA Chapter at the time of nomination as well as time of the fair. 3. All rabbits entering the barn will be inspected by the Superintendent and/or person(s) appointed by the superintendent for any disease (ear mites, vent, sniffles, etc) and make sure all tattoos match entries. An exhibitor's refusal of the health inspection disqualifies the animal from being shown. 4. No substitutions will be allowed unless discussed with the Superintendent before the fair. 5. Only eight entries per exhibitor will be allowed. Pregnant does will not be accepted. Rabbits may be brought to the fairgrounds on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Rabbits brought to the fairgrounds before or after these times will be disqualified from show. Exhibitors leaving rabbits left in cages prior to 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday will be assessed a $25.00 fee. All rabbits must have a readable permanent tattoo in the left ear before entering the rabbit barn. 6. Unacceptable Entries: The superintendent reserves the right to refuse entry to the showroom and to remove from the showroom all diseased or unsightly animals. This includes pregnant does and does that deliver while in the showroom. Any diseased rabbit, pregnant doe, or doe delivering in the showroom will be removed at once and disqualified with all prizes forfeited. Further, if the animal is not picked up by the exhibitor upon notification, that exhibitor will be responsible for any expense regarding the care of the animal upon removal. 7. Any rabbit not cared for by the exhibitor while at the fair will forfeit all winnings. 8. Prizes: Prizes and Awards: All prizes will be paid to the exhibitor entering the animal. Awards for Best 6-Class, Best 4-Class, Best in Show, Best Opposite in Show, and Showmanship will be offered. Mixed rabbits will not be eligible for any awards other than Showmanship. 9. Coops: Entries will be sorted by breed and coops will be assigned by superintendent. 10. Releases: All rabbits will be released to their owners on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at 11:00 p.m. Rabbits not picked up on Saturday night must be removed on Sunday, August 9, 2020, between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. 11. Judging: All judging will be governed by the latest standards of the American Rabbit Breeders Association. All judging will be by breed only; all mixed rabbits will be judged in a class together. All decisions by the judge are final. Breeds that are eight pounds and under are classed as a 4-Class rabbit. 4-CLASS RABBITS 1. Senior Buck (over 6 months of age) 2. Senior Doe (over 6 months of age) 3. Junior Buck (under 6 months of age) 4. Junior Doe (under 6 months of age) Breeds that are over eight pounds and over are classed as a 6-Class rabbit. 6-CLASS RABBITS 1. Senior Buck (over 8 months of age) 2. Senior Doe (over 8 months of age) 3. Intermediate Buck (6-8 months of age) 4. Intermediate Doe (6-8 months of age) 5. Junior Buck (under 6 months of age) 6.
