There will be four (4) divisions of showmanship in the Meat goat division for 4-H
and FFA members.
1. Cloverbud (under 9 years of age)
2. Junior (9 to 11 years of age)
3. Intermediate (12 to 13 years of age)
4. Senior (all junior exhibitors 14 years of age or older)

Rules:
1. Contestants must be an exhibitor in the Dairy or Meat Goat divisions at the Benton
County Fair.
2. Must turn in a written commentary describing the theme of your costume. Turn this
in 10 minutes prior
to the contest.
3. Class Divisions:
Cloverbuds 5-8 years of age
Intermediate 9-13 years of age
Sr. 14-18 years of age
Judging Criteria:
Originality, Creativity,
Crowd Pleasing, Animal
and Exhibitor in
costume, and MOST
IMPORTANT contestant
is having a good time!!!
1. Individual Herdsman Award for Cloverbud & Jr./Sr.: This Award is based on the
individual who helps others as well as keeps their own area clean the entire week of the
Benton County Fair.
In this show the exhibitor MUST have KIDDED and RAISED the animal on their own
farm from birth.
There will be two (2) divisions of the Kidded by exhibitors in the Meat Goat division
for 4-H & FFA members.
1. Cloverbud * exhibitors 5-8 years of age
2. Jr. & Sr. * exhibitors 9-18 years of age
