This department is open to eligible junior participants as defined in the Benton County Fair General Livestock Rules All general livestock rules of the fair apply to this department. In addition, the exhibitors in this section are subject to the following regulations. 1. Ownership: Jr. Exhibitor maintains continuous ownership, possession and provides daily care for each Doe entered in the Benton County Fair from the time of nomination until the conclusion of the Benton County Fair. 2. Registration: All does must have registration papers in the exhibitor's name for thirty (30) days prior to the show or they will be put in the commercial doe show. 3. Identification: An official registry tattoo will be required on all animals upon ownership. 4. CLASSES: 1. Class #1: Jr. (0-12 Month) 2. Class #2: Yearling Doe: (12-24 months) 3. Class #3: Senior Doe: (24-36 months) 4. Class #4: Aged Doe: (36 + Months ) 5. Horns: All horns must be tipped and rounded or animal will be sent home. 6. Stall Assignments: Stalls are assigned by the goat superintendent based on the number of market goats, breeding doe's entries and space available. 7. Grooming: Artificial coloring, paint and powder are not permitted for use in the market or breeding goat shows. 8. Health: Any animal with abscesses will NOT be allowed to remain on the fairgrounds. Goats must be free from external parasites, ringworms and warts. 9. General Rules: All general livestock rules of the Benton County Fair apply to the exhibitors in the goat department. 10. All exhibitors are subject to on farm inspections to verify information. All exhibitors agree to accommodate to such inspections. 11. Exhibitors will be expected to keep their animals fed and with clean water during the entire fair week. Exhibitors are to keep the pens and surrounding areas clean throughout the entire fair week. Pens must be cleaned daily by 9:00am and kept clean throughout the day. 12. All animals will be inspected INSIDE the trailer prior to entering the barn area. If any animals on the trailer are contagious the ENTIRE trailer will be sent home immediately!
