This department is open to exhibitors ages 5-8 as defined in the Benton County Fair General Livestock Rules. All general livestock rules of the fair apply to this department. In addition, the exhibitors in this section are subject to the following regulations. • Open to all Benton County cloverbuds that are ACTIVE 4-H members in Good Standing at the time of nomination/entry as well as at time of fair. • Animals must be owned by exhibitor. • All of the same requirements for the beef heifer show will still apply: Females only, registered animals will need to fit into a Registered Breeding Beef Class with Registration Papers. Commercial Heifers will need to be 400# minimum weight as well as no permanent teeth in wear. • Class breakdowns will not necessarily be by breed or age or weight. Class breakdowns will be determined by the superintendent to fit the exhibitor's situation and needs. • All animals will be inspected INSIDE the trailer prior to entering the barn area. If any animals on the trailer are contagious the ENTIRE trailer will be sent home immediately! Beef Showmanship There are four (4) divisions of showmanship for 4-H & FFA members. 1. Cloverbud (under 9 years of age) 2. Junior (9 to 11 years of age) 3. Intermediate (12 to 13 years of age) 4. Any Registered entry after July 1, 2020 WILL BE considered Late! No Registered entry will be accepted after July 10, 2020 for any reason! Late Fee of $100.00 per head will be enforced any time after July 10, 2020 for registered animals All Entries must be entered ONLINE: https://bentonar.fairwire.com Arrive on Monday August 3 from 4pm-9pm Or Tuesday August 4 from 8am-12pm Weigh in (Commercial) on Tuesday August 4 from 6pm-7pm and pay for extra stall spaces. Exhibitors will receive one stall space per animal even if extra stall space is purchased. Every effort will be made to provide an extra stall for each exhibitor. Tack isles are available to store feed and supplies. If you are bringing fewer cattle than you entered, please contact the superintendent of this department. This will allow stall assignments to be adjusted accordingly prior to the beginning of the fair rather than upon your arrival. • No aisle (butt) fans allowed. This is to include overhead fans attached to fan cages. All fans MUST blow south to North. • All cattle must be back in barn by 9:00 a.m. • No community water buckets are allowed. Animals must be watered in stalls. • All animals will be inspected INSIDE the trailer prior to entering the barn area.
