WWW.UPANDCOMINGWEEKLY.COM 24 UCW MAY 20-26, 2020 Together, We'll See This Through Responding to COVID-19 16965 faypwc.com At Fayetteville Public Works Commission, we're doing all we can to help minimize the impact of COVID-19 for our customers, our employees and our community – while we remain committed to providing safe, reliable utility services. • Understanding the financial difficulties this pandemic has created, PWC suspended service disconnections, effective March 16, and we're waiving late fees. We urge customers to contact us to make payment arrangements because bills are not being waived. As services stay on, we want to help customers avoid the amount owed becoming larger and more difficult to pay. A 4.7% electric rate decrease begins May 1, making energy used during Off-Peak hours 35% less than Peak. • For everyone's safety, the lobby of our Customer Service Center is closed, but drive-in service is open weekdays, from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, for payments. Other customer service transactions can be done by phone: 910-483-1382. Our 24/7 Self Service Pay Station, in a drive-thru service lane, accepts cash, checks, cards and money orders. • Other "no contact" payment options include online, phone and Western Union. Our Online Account Manager – also available through our mobile app – provides payment options, as well as account/usage information. Be Safe – and Save – as You Stay at Home Staying at home means greater utility use, but conserving – energy and water – will help you save on your utility bills. You have more flexibility to shift your energy usage to avoid Time-of- Use Peak hours, currently 3 pm – 7 pm weekdays. For 20 hours each weekday – and all day on weekends and PWC observed holidays – you can save Off-Peak, when power is billed at 35% lower rates. For Stay at Home conservation tips – and to learn more about PWC's response to COVID-19, including details of Governor Cooper's Executive Order for utilities – visit our website. 3-7 PM Weekdays Summer Peak Hours (April - October) PM Peak Hours Off-Peak Hours
