When to go to the Emergency Department:
Our Emergency Departments are here to treat life- or limb-threatening conditions such as:
• Chest pain
• Stroke symptoms
• Head and eye injuries
• Sudden numbness or
weakness in arm or leg
• Uncontrolled bleeding
and severe cuts
• Vaginal bleeding with pregnancy
• Coughing or vomiting blood
• Rash with fever
• Sudden shortness of breath
or difficulty breathing
• Major fracture that breaks the
skin or needs to be reset
Warning signs of a Heart Attack:
Call 9-1-1 immediatley if you're experiencing any of these signs of a heart attack:
• Feeling of fullness
• Pain that travels down
one or both arms
• Jaw pain
• Chest pressure, squeezing,
aching or burning
• Excessive fatigue or weakness
• Anxiety
• Nausea or vomiting
• Back pain
• Shortness of breath
