After visiting Epsilon Omicron's present-day Chapter House for an initiation meeting, he saw first-hand how small it (still) is and the lack of adequate space needed for membership growth. "They certainly need a new home to attract new members," Tom stated. Some of Tom's fondest memories are of the social graces he experienced in ATΩ while having fun—activities that inevitably took place outside of the Chapter House because of its size. Back then, most of their formals were held at a nightclub outside of Stillwater. With that in mind, Tom understands the importance of Epsilon Omicron's capital campaign. "I have to be careful that I don't outlive my savings, but I encourage everyone to consider a gift they can afford to the new building," he said. "Even the members now attending OSU are giving sacrificially to this building campaign." Epsilon Omicron certainly holds a special place in Tom's heart, and he stayed close to three of his pledge brothers for as long as they lived; they were like family members. "Always stay close with your ATΩ brothers," he said. "Even though you take on many new responsibilities when you leave college, your ATΩ brothers are Brothers for Life." Tom celebrated his 95th birthday in 2019 and has been married to Dorothy "Dot" for 68 years, during which they have experienced the "love and pride of three children as long as God allowed." After 38 years in Midland, Texas, they are spending their twilight years in Yukon, Oklahoma, close to their oldest daughter. You can connect with Tom at l1401@sbcglobal.net.
