Brothers remain active in the cam- pus and Greek communities while striving for academic success this semester. Athletic Chairman Charles Busse '23 has al- ready organized various events that many broth- ers attend weekly. Our favorite intramural sport is indoor volleyball with our team competing in games on a weekly basis. While it is still up for debate, it appears that our next sport of choice will be sand volleyball due to its popularity. Our philanthropy chairmen recently visited Bat- avia, Illinois, to participate as volunteer judges in a local competition for young students. Ad- ditionally, External Chairman John Armgardt '22 recently gathered a group of brothers to par- ticipate in a dodgeball game for a sorority phi- lanthropy event. Many brothers have secured internships for the summer and several graduating seniors have ac- cepted full-time positions. Samuel Atac '21 and Richard Machado '21 have summer internships at Google, Nick Weger '20 accepted a full-time job as a mechanical engineer for Ford, and Brett Lofendo '22 and James Prince '22 are doing a co-op in Chicago this semester. Other brothers have been pursuing a further degree, like David Budzik '19 who is pursuing a master's degree in civil engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Recently, there was a bylaw change making all members on the executive board serve for one year instead of just one semester. This was done to ensure a smooth transition during the year the house will be undergoing the renovation. There have also been many younger members express- Andrew Beusse '23 | Bethesda, Md. It was a great opportunity to get to know potential new members in a casual setting. ing interest in leading the chapter. We are and will be in good hands at the actives' level. The main goal for Delta right now is to make any and all preparations for the upcoming reno- vation. Many brothers have secured apartments together and nearly everyone will be located near the engineering campus. Four brothers secured a house to live in for the next year which will help a great deal to provide a potential meeting space. While it may not be the chapter house we know and love, we believe it'll help ensure the sense of brotherhood, community, and home. Delta Chap- ter is both ready for the renovation and looking forward to what the future holds. Fraternally, Michael McGinnis '22 Chief Engineer mlm6@illinois.edu Active brothers Jacob Dannhausen-Brun '20, Sahil Morrow '20, Michael Rajlich '20, and Joseph Giglio '20 reunite with recent graduate brother Andrew Waldecker '19.
