Fraternally, Jim Melvin '85 Director of Alumni Programming T he schedule for Homecoming 2019 started on campus with a Quad presence, float parade, and optional football game. Back at the Chapter, there was an open house, cocktail hour, sit down dinner, and awards ceremony. Several alumni came back to show their significant others the house and reminisce about their tenure as undergraduates. ere was quite a lively discussion in the Alumni Room about past Chapter cooks and their colorful experience serving the brothers. Dinner was prepared and served using the new kitchen utensils and serving pieces funded by the very successful Kitchen Fund drive inspired by Ernie Cormier '81. Kudos to Noah Parker '20 and the entire kitchen crew for some of the best chicken parmesan I can remember ever being served at the house. In attendance at dinner, there were several Chapter dignitaries. Jim Daly '86, co-chairman of the Chapter's 100th anniversary celebration, was there with his wife. Kevin Barrett '83 attended and is one of our Chapter's Top Chefs. Jon Tucker '88 was in attendance with his wife and is the Chapter's reigning Epsilon's Strongest Brother champion and undefeated all-time winner. And, of course, our man of the hour, Ernie Cormier, was in attendance with his wife, Jan, to accept a very special award from the fraternity. e annual awards ceremony was held immediately after dinner. e EBA recognized several undergraduate brothers for Most Valuable Player, Helping Hand Award, and Outstanding Academics. e awards ceremony was capped off with Epsilon Chapter's entire membership recognizing Ernie with the Chapter's highest honor, the Alumni Award for Outstanding Achievement for demonstrating excellence in fraternity, community, and business. To highlight Ernie's successes, infographic posters were displayed for all attendees to enjoy. ere Among his many friends and brothers, Ernie Cormier '81 is presented with the Alumni Award for Outstanding Achievement by EBA President Neil Lettenberger '07 at the RedBones alumni dinner shortly after Homecoming last fall. Epsilon Chapter Honors Ernie Cormier '81 at Homecoming 2019 was also a slideshow that included photos of several of Ernie's brothers, children, and extended family members. Several attendees spoke on Ernie's behalf and provided some colorful backstories. Ernie also addressed the attendees with his sincere gratitude and some words of wisdom. Following the awards ceremony, we continued the night's festivities on the foos table, on which the undergraduates are really starting to give experienced alumni a run for their money. Fraternally, James Melvin '85
