It's pa- thetic. I'm running out of excuses, but oh, joy! A new excuse. Do you suppose that Ubie has Covid 19??? Ubie, as you probably recall, is my ukulele banjo instrument. She's done a pretty good job of "social isolation" since I daren't take her to the ukulele classes (now suspended anyway). I'm so inept and she has such a big mouth. She sounds more like a banjo than a ukulele which means she can drown out a heavy metal screeching guitar. (Remem- ber she is a "she", she has a round bottom and an elegant long neck, defi nitely not a male.)) Back to the Covid 19 idea. That's really a good excuse for anything that goes wrong, isn't it? Faulty memory? Nah, it's Covid 19. Ach- ing joints? Must be that darn Cov- id. I've heard it came from animals, actually bats originally. Bats? No wonder. Did you ever meet a civi- lized, cultured bat? Personally, I've never met a bat up close. Now I've known quite a few "old bats". They were generally in supervisory posi- tions and somehow resented my "rules were made to be broken" at- titude. Or maybe it was my "I'll fi nd a way or make one" attitude. As you may have gathered, I did have an at- titude problem when I was younger. Time has mellowed me. (Don't ask my friends about that!) But back to Ubie. She does sound a bit congested, especially when I tend to get my fi ngers onto more than one string. And I'm sure she has an elevated temperature. If I could fi gure out where to insert the thermometer I might check it. (I'm used to those old-fashioned "stick em in the handiest orifi ce thermom- eters.) And she's defi nitely short of breath, just listen to her gasp as I try to change chords. Do you suppose I should call 911? After all, the Newport, Oregon Chief of Police begged people not to call 911 just because they were out of toilet paper. That's a much bigger emergency than a ukulele that is congested and out of breathe. I'm sure Ubie will be in the 80% or so that will survive Covid 19. So best advice is to keep her warm, rested, and well hydrated??Huh? Hydrat- ed? I don't think so. I think that ap- plies to her mistress. Bring on the hydration. Let sleeping ukuleles lie. Arizona Department of Health Services Launches Enhanced COVID-19 Dashboard Enhancements Include Increased Data on Confi rmed Cases and Commercial Testing PHOENIX— The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) today launched a new dashboard with increased data about the COVID-19 out- break. This enhanced dashboard will include increased data, and provide the ability to better track how the outbreak is evolving in Arizona. There are now two sections of the dashboard. The fi rst section contains data about cases and the second section includes additional data about testing. On Monday, March 23, 2020, Governor Ducey issued an execu- tive order requiring commercial labs to report all COVID-19 results. This new reporting requirement provides situational awareness on all test- ing performed in Arizona. ADHS will continue to update this data every morning at 9 a.m. www.azdhs.gov Be part of the solution AZ health dept launches COVID-19 dashboard
