Gamma Tau Hosts Successful Brotherhood Softball Tournament Our love for sports has crossed over into some of our Brotherhood events. We had a great time at our annual Brotherhood softball tournament at Lyon's Field in North Lawrence. We also enjoyed spending time with our dads during the KU vs. K-State football game for our Dads Weekend tailgate. Let the Good Times Roll As I wrap up my tenure as president of Gamma Tau, I hope to leave the chapter in a better place than it was when I was elected. My experience is one I will never forget. I have learned so much about myself, leadership, and my peers. I charge the next president to always keep the chapter's longevity in mind when making decisions. It may not be the most popular choice, but it is your duty to preserve the progress Gamma Tau has made and continue our path of living lives of excellence. Fraternally, Brennan Clark '17 Chapter President brennanclark@ku.edu Eleven Eleven Report Gamma Tau Chapter of Delta Tau Delta university of kansas n Winter 2020 L ast fall, the men of Gamma Tau were excited to pick up where we left off in the spring. The tone was set for the fall semester with a strong new member class. Not only did we sign 24 scholarly gentlemen, but we expanded our recruiting network. We welcomed new members spanning from Brentwood, California, to Prior Lake, Minnesota, as well as four Gamma Tau legacies. Committed to Academic Excellence After finishing the spring semester with a chapter GPA of 3.38, we were motivated to maintain our standard of academic excellence. Our spring 2019 GPA was one of the highest marks in recent Gamma Tau history and ranked in the top three among KU fraternities. We have a lot of pride in being academic leaders on campus. Building Bonds with Alumni Along with good grades and a great new member class, Gamma Tau has had a full calendar of social functions and campus involvement. We enjoyed cheering on the KU football team during the first full season of the Les Miles era. It has also been nice to have more alumni return to Lawrence and join us for tailgates on game days. As the Jayhawks improve in the coming seasons, we hope to see even more alumni at tailgates.
