He's the owner of the popular
Leclair's General Store in the Wooten
building off Fort Bragg Road in
Haymount. Before relocating to
Fayetteville in early 2017, Leclair
worked as the director of visual
presentation for Ralph Lauren-Club
Monaco in New York City.
"We started that for last year's lo
tour," Patrick Callahan said of the 2018
downtown Candlelight Lo Tour. "We
gave Patrick a shot to come on in and
redesign it. He really eliminated a lot
of extra tables we had, sort of opened
the space more and introduced that
ladder. at was all for a good cause to
promote downtown living."
Patrick Callahan, 49 and from
Greenfield, Massachusetts, is an
expert executive coach and assessment
specialist. Among other duties, he
assesses and coaches elite military
special operators through his work at
the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare
Center and School on Fort Bragg.
Callahan serves on the
Homeowners Association board for
300 Hay Street Condominiums and is
a former chair and current member of
the Cool Spring Downtown District
board.
"I'm aware of the thrust and
development of downtown. I love it,"
he said.
So, all those years ago, this
assessment specialist assessed the
potential in a downtown district
that had continued to slumber. He
wanted a place in the throes of the
redevelopment.
"I think it's the sense of discovery
and excitement. I mean, back then,
there wasn't a lot here yet," he recalled.
"But you could sense there was so
much more promise.
"I spent a lot of time in New York
City. at's where I got my training
and my PhD," he added. "I'm very used
