BUILDING ON A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE Eta Chapter of Sigma Chi at the University of Mississippi F or more than 160 years, Eta Chapter has built generations of leaders at Ole Miss. When we look back on our own experiences in the chapter, the countless memories and forged friendships remind us of the truly irreplaceable experience we shared together. We will never forget our years as actives or the center of our brotherhood: our chapter house on 121 S. Poole Drive. While we each know the quality of our membership, our chapter house must reflect the strength of our chapter and keep our competitive edge. Evaluating the long-term needs of Eta and its members has been at the forefront of our minds with safety, academics, and recruitment being key focuses. rough careful assessment and discussion, alumni leadership has determined that a large renovation and expansion to the house will be the best way to remain a premier facility in the Ole Miss fraternity system and meet the ever- changing needs of today's students. SIGMA CHI ANNOUNCES $2.5 MILLION CAPITAL CAMPAIGN PROJECT PLANS To begin this new phase for Eta, we are excited to launch the Building a Tradition of Excellence capital campaign. Funds raised from this campaign will allow us to expand and renovate our chapter house including: • Expanding the dining area. • Building a chapter room. • Increasing common area space. • Updating the interior to be competitive with other housing options. • Increasing the sleeping capacity of the house by adding bedrooms. • Providing additional rooms for members to study individually or in small groups. With the support of all our brothers, we will have the strongest brotherhood and best chapter house on campus by the end of our campaign. Eta Chapter has been at the heart of Ole Miss' Greek life and the Standard Bearer of the South, and it's because of the strength of our alumni that we have continued to thrive these past 160-plus years.
