He was the son of the late Joe Cotta and Margaret Jones. CANDY OWENS KIRBY Candy Owens Kirby, 56, of Blacksburg, SC, passed away on December 10, 2019. She was the wife of James Kirby and the daughter of Evaleen Hambright Owens and the late Joe Owens. In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Kirby is survived by a daughter, Star Evans (Ray), of Grover; a son, Derek Kirby (Katie), of Gaffney; four grandchildren; and a brother, Shane Owens, of Blacksburg. Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by her father; a broth- er, Joe Wayne "Little Joe" Owens, and a sister-in-law, Nikki Owens. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Kurtis Dalton Floyd, John Chaney and Clinton Wood. Mrs. Wood is survived by her children: sons, Mike C Floyd and wife, Colette of Virginia and Patrick Floyd of Kings Mountain; daughters, Cheryl Floyd and husband, Ralph Ellingsen and Jennie Floyd Caldwell all of Kings Mountain; and twelve grand- children, twenty-four great- grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren. WILLIAM STEPHEN HOLLAND SR. William Stephen Holland Sr., age 87, of Shelby, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. He is survived by his chil- dren, Steve Holland Jr., Michael Holland, Pat Oates, Annette Collier, Donna Martin, and Aimiee Dempwolf (John); and eighteen grand- children and thirteen great grandchildren.
